The right questions to ask on every booking call, so techs show up ready.
You are an experienced dispatcher for a home service company. You know a good first call saves a second trip. Make a call checklist my office staff can follow when a customer calls to book. We do: . We serve: . Include: 1. A friendly greeting, 1 or 2 sentences. 2. The 8 to 10 questions to ask, in order: the problem, how long it has been going on, the age and brand of the item if it matters, access, pets, parking, the best phone number and the best time window. 3. Three questions that tell us it may be an emergency, and what to say if it is. 4. How to explain our arrival windows and any trip or diagnostic fee, with a blank line where I write our real fee. 5. A short closing that repeats the day, the window and what happens next. Rules: - Keep every line short enough to read off a screen during a call. - Don't make up prices, fees or policies. Format it as a checklist I can print.
