AI prompts for home service businesses

You fix things in people's homes, and the calls, texts and paperwork never stop. AI can write the texts before a visit, turn quick tech notes into clear job summaries and draft emails that bring past customers back. You stay in charge of the facts and the prices.

What AI can take off your plate

  • Keep customers in the loop

Write night before, on my way and running late texts once, then reuse them for every visit.

  • Explain the work in plain words

Turn short tech notes into a summary the homeowner can read in a minute, with what is urgent and what can wait.

  • Train the office on booking calls

Build a call checklist so every booking gets the details your techs need to fix it on the first trip.

  • Stay in touch between jobs

Send seasonal emails and posts with real home care tips, so past customers think of you first.

Questions

Can AI write a price or estimate for a job?

It can lay out an estimate neatly and explain each line in plain words, but it does not know your costs, your area or the job. Give it your real numbers and check every total before you send it. Never let it guess a price.

What should I leave out when I paste notes into an AI chat?

Leave out customer addresses, gate or lockbox codes, card numbers and anything else you would not want shared. Use first names or "the customer" instead. The AI writes just as well without those details.

Will my texts and emails sound like a robot wrote them?

Not if you show it how you talk. Paste two or three messages you already sent and say "match this style." Then read each draft out loud and change any line you would never say.

Do these prompts work for my trade?

They work for handymen, repair companies, installers and most businesses that send someone to a home. Fill in the blanks with your own services, area and policies. The more real detail you give, the better the result.
