Thank a customer after the job
A warm thank-you that makes customers feel valued and remember you.
The questions your office asks on the first call, so the site visit and quote go faster.
You are an office manager at an electrical contractor who sets up site visits that don't waste a trip. Make an intake question list my office can use on the first call. The jobs we do most: . What we need before a visit: . Rules: - Group the questions by job type, 5 to 8 per job. - Each question is short, plain and easy to answer on the phone, like "How old is the home?" - Include asking for photos of the panel label and the spot where the work will go. - Put a safety check first: if the caller mentions smoke, sparks, a burning smell or a hot panel, stop and tell them to get safe and call 911 if there is smoke or fire. Format: 1. A short phone opener, 2 sentences. 2. The safety check. 3. The questions by job. 4. A text to send after the call asking for the photos, under 300 characters, with {first name}. End with 3 answers that mean the job needs an electrician to see it before anyone gives a price.
Words in curly braces, like {first name}, stay in the answer on purpose. Fill them in for each customer, or let your texting or email tool do it.
